Easter Bunting

So what is a woman my age doing with a baby bumper pad? This Pottery Barn bumper was $1.99. It had been at the store for several weeks. It just stuck in my mind, how cute it was, it was BRAND spanking new, and only $1.99....On my last trip in, the brain, went into over drive. I bought it.

Went home, and cut the pad into triangles (pic top left). Then I realized it was way too thick because of the quilting, so I removed the quilting (pic top right). One side was toile, and the other side was striped. So any view you had, either from inside or outside, looking in, it had pattern to it! And before I started, sewing them together, I cut all the ties off.
I then laid them out, stripped , toile, stripe, toile..... Then the ties that I had cut off, I folded them in half and cut them again. I started sewing tie-y- thing, stripe piece, tie-y thing , toile piece, etc, etc, etc. One bumper pad, some sore fingers (hard cutting with all the batting), and an hour and half later, I had my Easter bunting all for $1.99! Goes well with the new color in the breakfast nook , huh?

Going a Little Shabby...ish...

This is the Breakfest Nook before. Which was great....three and a half years ago! My probelm is, when everything is done, I'm BORED!! I always thought that I was alone, in that, I go into a room , and think," gosh, wonder what it would look like if I...."?  Some people say I have TOO much time on my hands, others (like my husband) say that to feel good, I need to have the pressure of getting a "project" done. You ever feel like this? Well...

I painted it cream!  What do you think? The slipcovers aren't finished, I was in just too big of a hurry, and wanted to take the picture....Now, you know what the problem is? Oh yea, it needs a chandelier! It's on my list, I'll keep you updated....
