Went home, and cut the pad into triangles (pic top left). Then I realized it was way too thick because of the quilting, so I removed the quilting (pic top right). One side was toile, and the other side was striped. So any view you had, either from inside or outside, looking in, it had pattern to it! And before I started, sewing them together, I cut all the ties off.
I then laid them out, stripped , toile, stripe, toile..... Then the ties that I had cut off, I folded them in half and cut them again. I started sewing tie-y- thing, stripe piece, tie-y thing , toile piece, etc, etc, etc. One bumper pad, some sore fingers (hard cutting with all the batting), and an hour and half later, I had my Easter bunting all for $1.99! Goes well with the new color in the breakfast nook , huh?
